The Parish Council meeting dates are 13th September & 8th November 2016 starting at 8pm at Clifton Campville Village Hall. Full details are always on the parish notice boards in the week before the meetings. Members of the public are very welcome to attend and a part of each meeting is set aside for you to have your say and ask questions. We welcome your feedback and comments about this newsletter or any other matter you wish to raise. Anyone that has any parish information/news to go in the newsletter can contact the parish clerk.

Lost Property

We still have a couple of bits and pieces that were handed in at the Country Fair including a blue young girl’s jacket (aged 3 years), a maroon & grey child’s sweatshirt (aged 4 years), an umbrella, a doggie treat bag, a heart shaped necklace, some bracelets & wrist bands and a cake tin (mauve lid).

Bromford Housing

Recently the Parish Council were contacted by Bromford Housing regarding the potential redevelopment of the properties along the western side of Lullington Road and the North side of Main Street. Whilst Bromford have no clear plans yet to discuss they were keen to hear about local issues and did assure the Parish Council that they would fully consult with them once their plans were firmer. Bromford have recently carried out a survey around the Parish to help with their planning. The Parish Council will keep residents informed of further developments.

Harvest is coming

Just a timely reminder, that there will be an increased amount of agricultural traffic on the roads around the parish from the beginning of August. Please try and park to allow the traffic to pass easily and allow them to carry on with their essential work.

Closed church of St Constantine, Thorpe Constantine
Mission and Pastoral Measure 2011

The Church Commissioners have prepared a draft scheme under the above 2011 Measure providing for the sale of the closed church of St Constantine and its churchyard for use for civic, cultural and community purposes and occasional Christian worship.

A copy of the draft Scheme may be inspected on the noticeboards at St Andrew’s church and the village hall, Clifton Campville, on the website at (under ‘Current Draft Pastoral Schemes and Orders’) or by applying to Anne Griffiths. Large print and/or audio copies can also be requested from her.

Potholes around the Parish

As you will be aware the road network around the community deteriorates year on year. Although many potholes are reported regularly by the Parish Council the more they are reported by members of the public on the below contact details the more likely it is that they will be repaired. The Parish Council would be grateful of your assistance in highlighting any highways problems this way.
